When you plan for a low-cost + embrace the culture travel, two options you definitely should consider are Couchsurfing and Flixbus. This is not a sponsored post, I promise, but I thought why not share with you what I have found during my travels.

When I first heard about Couchsurfing, it didn't take much to convince me: a social website where you can find free stay in someone's house. And if you are volunteering in a foreign country with a low budget, as I was, this is the perfect accommodation you will find. The only catch here could be the fact that you are staying with a complete stranger, but look for the silver lining. This complete stranger can show you her/his lifestyle and places in town that don't appear in travel guides. But don't forget to always check the host's references in the website and when you finally get to the place, offer your host something to thank the stay. I used this website when I traveled to Slovenia and Poland, and even today I can't believe how lucky I was to find such incredibe hosts. That type of hosts that take you by car in your planned trips and show you great pubs in town. And even give you a copy of the house key in case you arrive late... yes, I was definitely lucky!

Another way of traveling from country to country is by Flixbus, and you can save a lot of money choosing this option. You may have to spend a lot of hours inside of the bus, true, but at least you can do it either sleeping or enjoying the view.

Ao planear uma viagem de baixo custo + adoptando a cultura, duas opções que definitivamente deves considerar são Couchsurfing e Flixbus. Este não é um artigo patrocinado, prometo, mas pensei porque não compartilhar o que descobri durante algumas das minhas viagens. Quando ouvi pela primeira vez Couchsurfing, não foi preciso muito para me convencer: um site social onde se pode encontrar estadia gratuita na casa de alguém. E se estás de voluntariado num país estrangeiro e com um baixo orçamento, como eu, esta é a melhor opção que podes encontrar. O único senão pode ser o facto de ficares em casa de um completo estranho, mas procura ver o lado positivo. Esse estranho pode mostrar-te o seu estilo de vida e lugares na cidade que não aparecem em guias de viagem. Mas é importante verificares sempre as referências do anfitrião no site e, quando finalmente chegares ao local, oferece-lhe algo para agradecer a estadia. Eu usei este site quando viajei para Eslovénia e Polónia e, ainda hoje, não acredito na sorte que tive em encontrar pessoas tão incríveis. Aquele tipo de anfitrião que é capaz de te levar de carro nas tuas viagens planeadas e dar-te a conhecer excelentes bares na cidade. E até são capazes de te dar uma cópia das chaves de casa, caso chegues tarde... sim, definitivamente tive muita sorte! Outra forma de viajar entre países é através de Flixbus, e podes poupar imenso dinheiro escolhendo esta opção. Podes ter de passar imensas horas dentro dum autocarro, verdade, mas ao menos podes fazê-lo a dormir ou a apreciar a vista.
